EMPLOYMENT PROGRAMME
Project Employ’s Employment Programme helps young adults with intellectual and learning disabilities transition into paid, meaningful work. As trainees near completion of their six-month training at Flourish Café, we support them in securing jobs that align with their skills and interests.
How We Support Our Graduates
• Career guidance: We help our graduates identify their strengths, values, career options, and set achievable employment goals tailored to their interests and abilities.
• CV & interview preparation: We work closely with graduates to craft strong CVs, develop interview skills, and build confidence in communicating their abilities to potential employers.
• Job search support: We connect graduates with suitable job opportunities, ensuring a good match between their skills and employer needs. Additionally, graduates are empowered to look for their own opportunities and build confidence to connect with potential employers themselves.
• One-on-one assistance: We provide hands-on support throughout the hiring process, including attending interviews, reviewing employment contracts, and assisting with workplace transitions.
• Workplace support: Our team offers post-placement guidance to help both the employee and employer navigate any concerns, ensuring a smooth transition and long term success and growth.
• Peer support & skill-building: Graduates participate in regular group sessions focused on professional development, confidence-building, and practical workplace skills.
Why Employers Should Work with Project Employ
Many employers are eager to build a more inclusive workforce but are unsure where to start. We help businesses overcome
barriers by preparing job-ready graduates and offering ongoing support to ensure successful employment outcomes.
Internships are also suggested, allowing both the employer and graduate to trial working together before committing to a
long-term contract.
