Trainees will gain experience working in all areas of the cafe, including:

  • Customer service

  • Front of house

  • Clearing/cleaning tables

  • Replenishing stock

  • Food preparation

  • Dishwasher

Employment

The second phase of the Project Employ trainee’s journey is about gaining meaningful, paid employment within the local community. Trainees will:

  • Develop CV writing and interview skills

  • Learn job-specific skills, to ensure a smooth transition from Project Employ to their chosen careers

  • Be introduced to local businesses that match their individual skills and interests and/or supported employment providers

Project Employ will work with the local business community and supported employment providers to ensure the best outcomes for the programme graduates. Following an offer of employment, the Project Employ team will provide continued support to the employer and employee (PE graduate), as required, to ensure job success and longevity.
